Prez BO is in the middle east sucking up to the muslims, who couldn't care less, while North Korea is becoming increasingly belligerent, flexing its military muscle and making our allies in the region nervous and wondering why the U.S. hasn't responded to the threat North Korea poses.

Not to mention Iran, a nation with ~5,000 nuclear centrifuges now in operation, and obviously unimpressed with America's new, apparently spineless leadership. Remember what happened when Neville Chamberlain tried to deal with Hitler and Nazi Germany with appeasement and containment, neither of which worked, as we learned in the long, bitter lesson that was World War II. All of which recalls the saying, "Those who don't learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them."

Prez BO also has been rebuffed by both Israel and Cuba for entirely different reasons, and is beginning to look to the world like he's looked to me for quite some time: an incompetent ass who believes his own press releases.

OBAMA’S TWO-WEEK RECAP
1. The American people elect a president with a total of 42 days experience as a U S Senator from the most politically corrupt state in America whose governor is ousted from office. The President's first official act is to propose closing GITMO and make sure terrorists' civil rights are not violated. He later reconsiders and adopts a position curiously akin to the previous Republican administration's stance on the prison holding the most dangerous terrorists America has captured.
2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm an Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen GITMO terrorists. And who is radically anti-gun-ownership.
3. The CIA Boss, Leon Panetta, with absolutely no experience, has a daughter Linda that is a true radical anti-American activist, and is a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere.
4. We got the most corrupt female in America as Secretary of State; bought and paid for.
5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who files his own taxes.
6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges.
7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges.
8. A Labor Sec'y nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct.
9. A Sec'y HHS nominee who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes.

And that's just the first two weeks ... but who's counting ...

America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges
~ Barrack, Nancy , and Harry ~
and they are still trying to define stimulus.

Stimulus is where the government gives a smidgen of your tax dollars back to you making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated] that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV and go home and watch Telemundo!

OBAMA = One Big Ass Mistake America

Ayn Rand's comment Re: the Democrat's form of govt.

"Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

Ayn Rand

Is President Obama the Anti-Christ?

The un-qualified liberal jackass we know as President Obama could very well be the Anti-Christ. Check out the Wiki entry:

sounds and looks like PrezBO to me. I believe we are approaching the end-times and BO is leading us there.

a constitutional republic gone awry

I believe that in the beginning, the founding fathers had many brilliant ideas, and that many of them were codified in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. However, I believe one of the most important concepts never was, because they couldn't think of everything, and because even very intelligent people are often myopic about how important the settled underpinnings of life are subject to fundamental change.

The central idea that I think has been forgotten is that the founding fathers viewed the government as being made up of the best and brightest of our country's citizenry, typically landowners who would take time out of running successful businesses for a few weeks a year to assemble in the nation's seat of government to deal with issues that had to be dealt with, and then return to their real jobs.

Current federal and local governments feed on their own momentum; they have no incentive whatsoever to limit themselves to the serious business at hand, but instead find time to pass bills declaring grits the official food of Georgia, and so on.

A professional class of elected representatives was expressly NOT what the founding fathers envisioned, and therein lies the problem. The rise of the political hack as representative gave birth to the idea that completely unqualified individuals could be elected to public office simply on the strength of an advertising blitz. Idiots like Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Slow Joe Biden and other morons like them have come to power simply due to money spent on public relations efforts that have no basis in reality.

Ted Kennedy, as the most reprehensible of the Kennedy clan, perhaps best embodies what results when you have a family of politicians that inbreed politically and take charge of a feeble-minded electorate.

Teddy Kennedy is NOT what the founding fathers would've posited as their ideal representative. And now that the Republicans are unwilling to defend their majority status in the House of Representatives and the Senate, hypocritical jackasses like Kennedy appear stronger than they are. This is one of many reasons that I characterize myself as an independent. I've given up on W., and the Republicans.

Hugh Hewitt said there are nine words that sum up what conservatives in this country want their representatives in Congress to accomplish. They are:

Win the war;
confirm the justices;
cut the taxes.

I would add two more three-word phrases. To wit:

Win the war;
secure the border;
confirm the justices;
cut the taxes;
slash discretionary spending.

Hugh Hewitt's THE MAN!

I've been enjoying Hugh Hewitt's radio talk show for several weeks now, thanks to 0920 AM in Atlanta, GA. He attacks MSM people respectfully, but still holds their feet to the fire. His airing of the momentous swearing-in of John Roberts as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is part and parcel of what sets his talk show apart from others in the genre. He recognizes the value of the speaking of the oath, what it really means, and why it was important to hear John Roberts speak the oath.

That was an inspiring moment that Mr. Hewitt saw fit to play (instead of his take on it), and it moved me.

Thanks, Mr. Constitutional Law Scholar, Author, Conservative talk-show host, and general wizened one!
